Each stress measurement system by Stress Photonics consists of a GFP™ (Grey Field Polariscope) camera head, an illuminator, and a framework that ties the system together.
All of the test stands, test stand accessories, lenses, illuminator accessories, and other accessories by Stress Photonics are designed to be interchangeable and customizable.

TS4000
In addition to the typical components and applications listed below, those specific to the TS4000 include:
- 80mm x 80mm T-slotted column
- Rack and pinion camera mount
- Stable base with vibration isolation feet or castor wheels.

Test Stand Glass Tray
Trays like the GS107 Test Stand Glass Tray can be quickly interchanged. The tray hangs on a fixed column plate, but can easily be removed and exchanged.
Sample specific jigs and mounts can be built into the slotted tray and installed when needed.
The trays can also hold frosted glass to add a diffuse illumination element, particularly if an illuminator head is used as the illumination on the test frame.

Camera Mount
Quickly and easily mount the GFP1600 camera head with a GS105 Rack and Pinion Camera Mount.
Features:
- Quickly adjust gross height of head above sample.
- Make fine adjustments with the optional microstage near head mount. *Not shown*
- The microstage linear adjustment is required for microscope and recommended for macro (close-up) imaging.

Low Contact Fence
The Low Contact Fence by Stress Photonics is designed to position samples consistently without causing thermal or mechanical stress in the glass tray.
Once the sample is positioned, the tray can be tilted back out of the field of view.

Lenses
C-Mount Lenses
The GFP™1600 is compatible with most C-Mount lenses, including:
- Fixed Focal Length
- Macro Zoom
- Varifocal
The standard lens provided with the GFP™1600 is a fixed focal length lens. The available lenses are 5mm, 8mm, 12mm, 16mm, 25mm, and 50mm.
C-Mount spacer rings are available and are used when it is necessary to decrease working distance and/or to decrease image size.

Microscope Objectives
Microscope objectives are often used when determining stress on small details such as, flaws, edge grind, or contact points.

S-Mount Lenses
S-Mount Lens Specifications:
- S-mount (M12 x 0.5mm)
- 6.0mm through 25mm
- Working distance 150–400 or 400–∞
Often the S-Mount lenses can be operated closer than the optimal working distance of 150mm to acquire small images in a compact and economical way.
Specialty lenses such as macro lenses can be used to image between normal and microscope ranges.
For distances farther than 1000mm, multiply the working distance in mm by the image size.

Achromatic LED Illuminators
This economical illuminator is highly portable and easy to use.

- Can be used in reflection operation as a spot light

Mono or RBG LED Illuminators
The Monochromatic or RBG LED Illuminators by Stress Photonics are typically built with a tray of LEDs. The illuminators are available in single color or in RGB for full retardation range (±1200nm).
Illumination is controlled via software that enables the user to turn the light on and off for sample alignment; it also enables automatic light control during data capture.
The LED illuminators stay on during data capture, but do not flash.

Other Accessories
Calibration Disks
These octagonal stackable calibration artifacts can be aligned against a straight edge to give 0, 45, 90, 135, 180, 225, 270, and 315 degree orientations.
The calibration disks also can be stacked to achieve various total values.
The disks are finished with a circular polarized film centered at approximately 550nm.
